To prepare dal
Channa dal-1/2 cup
Whole moong dal-1 cup
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Amchur powder-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
1.Wash and Soak both the dals for one hour
2.Cook the dal in pan or pressure cooker with 2 cups of water,until well mashed
3.Heat a pan,add ghee,cumin,green chillies,onion and saute it turns translucent.
4.Then add turmeric powder,hing ,amchur powder and chilli powder.
5.Add mashed dal to the pan,salt to taste and some water to make it flowing consistency.
6.Simmer for ten to fifteen minutes.
To prepare bhaati
Wheat flour-1 cup
Salt to taste
1.Take wheat flour in a bowl,add ghee,ajwain or saunf and salt.Mix well and crumble the flour
2.Add water little by little and mix slightly stiff dough
3.Roll the dough into small balls and press in the center
4.Line the bhaati in baking tray with enough distance between each bhaati.Bake them in preheated oven at 400* F oven for 10 minutes
5.Turn the bhaati upside down and bake another 10 minutes.
6.Remove the bhaati from tray and place in the plate.Sprinkle some ghee while its still hot
To prepare churma
Atta/Wheat flour-1 cup
Powdered Sugar/Jaggery -1/2 cup
Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp
Chopped Nuts-2 tsp
1.Mix the wheat flour and semolina in a bowl
2.Add ghee and sprinkle water to make a tight dough
3.Roll the dough into rotis
4.Bake the rotis in preheated oven at 400*F for 10-15 minutes until it turns crispy.
5.Once the rotis are cooled,crush the rotis into pieces and grind into powder with blender
6.Add powdered sugar/jaggery as per taste and some chopped nuts.
Break the baati into pieces,pour the dal over it ,followed by some ghee,onion and coriander leaves. Serve with churma.
