To all the fish lovers, this fish curry is must to try and also its one of my favourite fish curry, the recipe I used here is little elaborate and followed by generations of a wonderful family…I have used cocum/kudam puli  so called kerala puli that is quit different from the usual tamarind. The cocum gives extra- ordinary flavour to the curry…So,dont miss using cocum in this recipe.

Ingredients
Seer Fish,sliced-1 kg
Lime-1
Curry Leaves-Few
Onion Sliced-1 (Big)
Tomatoes sliced-2(Big)
Green Chillies-1-2 slit

Water-1 cup

Small Onions-8-10 sliced
Onion-2,sliced
Curry leaves-handful
Mustard Seeds-1/4 tsp
Methi seeds-1/4 tsp
Coriander seeds-1 tbsp
Fennel seeds-3/4 tsp
Red chilli -5
Coconut, grated-1 cup
Salt to taste

Method
1.Marinate fish with lime and salt.Set Aside

2.Dry roast small onions, onions, curry leaves, mustard, methi, coriander and fennel seeds, who red chilli and grated chilli.Grind to a fine paste

3.In a kadai, pour coconut oil, throw in the curry leaves, add the sliced onions and saute.

4.Then add in the slit green chillies, ginger garlic paste and fry for a couple of minutes.Add the tomatoes and let it cook.

5.Then add in the dry roast ground paste and fry for a couple of minutes.

6. Add the fish pieces along with a cup of water & cocum.Let it cook.
7.Garnish with curry leaves

While serving ,remove the cocum pieces and adding too much of cocum will give burnt flavour to the dish….
