Mutton Biryani - My Style 1

Mutton Biryani


Mutton-1 kg
Rice-1 kg
Ginger Garlic Paste-3 tbsp
Green Chilly-3-4 nos
Turmeric powder-2 tsp
Chilly powder-4 tsp
Coriander powder-5-6 tsp
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Nutmug powder-1 tsp
Cumin Seeds-1 tsp
Oil-1 cup
Ghee-1 cup
Dry spices-a few
Salt-3-4 tsp
Coriander leaves-1 cup
Mint leaves-1 cup


1.Marinate mutton,ginger garlic paste and nutmeg powder overnight in fridge
2.Chop Onion into long stripes,tomato into small,and slit green chillies
3.Use Thick Bottom pan,fry onion,tomato,dry spices,Cumin,green chilly in oil
4.Add Marinated mutton and close the lid to cook for 15 minutes,stir occasionally
5.Add Turmeric,Chilly,Coriander and Garam masala powders
6.Wash 1 kg(5 cups) Rice (No Soaking) and add to mutton
7.Add half cup of Ghee,stir slowly without breaking the rice for 2 minutes
8.Add 7-8 cups of boiling water ,salt and then add Coriander and mint leaves
1 cup rice=1 +1/2 cups water
9.Close the lid and cook for 20 mins in low flame
10.Add rest of the ghee and serve hot.
